New England Teen Camp III

Led by Suzannah Park, Ken Shimizu, and Marytha Paffrath.

This promises to be an incredibly lively camp session, with three dynamic musicians leading a set of high-energy music. Suzannah brings her infectious good humor and thorough command of traditional Appalachian harmonies and ornamentation to this session. Ken Shimizu will bring a mix of Appalachian music, gospel music, and English folksongs. Marytha Paffrath, a singer, accomplished percussionist and avid student of world rhythms and techniques will infuse this session with a solid international repertoire. This camp will tour in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and the Boston Massachusetts area.

Located on a 150-year-old homestead in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. The retreat center is in a renovated barn. The spacious grounds include a kitchen garden and sheep pen, as well as 120 acres of land with open fields, forests with trails, ponds for swimming, and a hilltop with magnificent views of the Green Mountains.
